Sharjah Desert Park

Sharjah Desert Park is a place for coming into contact with – and better understanding – our rich and diverse ecosystem. The park includes the Arabian Wildlife Centre where one can see native animals such as the Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx), the Arabian leopard (Panthera pardus nimr), hyenas (Hyaena hyaena), Arabian wolves (Canis lupus arabs) and flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) amongst a significant number of other animal species. The Children’s Farm is further located here, offering an opportunity for children to come close to farm animals and feed them. Equally, in the same location, the Sharjah Natural History and Botanical Museum stands, where the history of Arabian flora and fauna can be learned.
