The initiative was announced during the opening of the Second Meeting of Best Practices in Municipal Work, which was held in Dubai with the participation of directors of municipalities in the country,  to confirm the commitment of the participants to the implementation of variety of activities and events in all emirates that are worthy and of such creative initiative. With such initiative the UAE has linked between the citizens and their environment through by creating common interest in both national and environmental fields which was a goal that was first envisioned by the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan – may Allah rest his soul in peace- when he stated that the United Arab Emirates managed through agriculture to "consolidate the mutual relationship that exists between the Earth and the citizen."

 In addition, the ministry announced the launch of a range of activities events under the slogan "Union Tree Growth and Affiliation" in response to the initiative of the "Union Tree"; where in this context, the campaign's website www.uniontree.ae was launched, to be an essential reference for the initiative. The website includes all the details of the initiative, its goals, events and activities associated with the various government and private institutions, as well as information relevant to ways of agriculture, how to care for plants and maintain them through following the electronic agricultural guide, and an archive that contains all the initiative relevant news.

    In addition to the website, the Ministry promoted the initiative among its partners and clients via text messaging, a video screening, and information on the initiative that are displayed on the customer service centers screens in all locations, and other means of promotion.At the end of his statement, the minister expressed his appreciation for this national initiative, which will make the beloved Emirates land greener in its 41^st anniversary.
