The Houbara Protected Area takes you back to a time when falconry was the sport of choice in the United Arab Emirates. Located in the Al Dafra region, it was the first reserve in Abu Dhabi were Houbara Bustards, a large terrestrial bird native to the Gulf region, were released. This reserve consists of an abundant plantation, coastal plains on well-drained sandy ground and gravel terrains.
