Service Description

Through this service an import permit is obtained by approving the importation of animal samples for laboratory tests from outside the country (except animal samples under CITES agreement annexes), this permission is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. These samples are inspected at the port of entry and released after confirming their compliance with the conditions and specifications

Service Procedures

To apply for a service over any of the service channels, you should register in the digital services system From here

For import permit:

Fill out the electronic form
E-payment
Checking the documents electronically
Issuing the import permit electronically

For release permit:

Fill out the electronic form
E-payment
Virtual inspection of the consignment
Issue release permit electronically

Service Fees

100 AED for request to issue a permit to import consignment of animal samples
100 AED for request to release the consignment of animal samples for analysis

Required Documents

For import permit:

No objection letter / certificate from the Veterinary Authority in the Exporting country stating that it has no objection to the exit of specimens and their undertaking that these samples have been withdrawn and processed under their supervision

For release permit:

No required document

Terms and Conditions

The facility must have a veterinary facility license (veterinary diagnostic facilities - veterinary laboratories) in addition to the competent government authorities
The Veterinary Authority in the Exporting State has no objection to the exit of specimens and their undertaking that these samples have been withdrawn and processed under their supervision
