Request for a transit permit for live animals

About the Service

Through this service, it is agreed to cross animals coming from one country and heading to another country through the territory of the country and obtain a valid import permit for 48 hours from the date of entry to the country and does not include transit animals from the same port

Service Process

  1. Issuance of the permit:

  3. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically

  4. Issuing the Permit electronically

  5. For entrance of the consignment:

  6. Fill out the electronic form

  7. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically

  8. The Physical inspection

  9. Allow the pass of the consignment

  10. For exit of the consignment:

  11. Fill out the electronic form

  12. Review the application and complete the procedures electronically

  13. The physical inspection

  14. Allow the exit of the consignment

Required Documents

  • Copy of the import permit or no-objection authorization from the importing country
  • Copy of a health certificate from the exporting country
  • Copy of certificate of laboratory examination issued by laboratory accredited by the competent authorities of the exporting country - in case that it is required by the ministry from the exporting country or include the results in the approved health certificate.
  • Copy of the valid CITES certificate (export or re-export) issued by the country exporting in case of transit of export CITES listed animals and it may replace with valid passports in case of falcons.
  • In case of dogs and cats, the following document:
  1. - Copy of the import permit or no-objection authorization from the importing country
  2. - The health certificate issued by the exporting country or the vaccination document
  3. - Take into consideration, the test result for Rabies SNT in case of High risk countries

Conditions & Requirements

    1. The animals from the countries included in the list of countries approved for import are allowed to cross
    2.  In case of  dogs and cats:  animals are treated the same as imported animals in terms of the Rabies risk level.
