We would like to inform you that, as of February 1, 2024, the use of colistin (polymyxin E) in the veterinary sector will be prohibited, in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and international strategies, policies, standards, regulations, and national action plans to combat antimicrobial resistance.

Based on Administrative Resolution No. 5 of 2024 and in light of systematic reviews and in accordance with international strategies, policies, standards and regulations. The import and circulation of veterinary preparations containing the active ingredient Metamizole/Dipyrone for food-producing animals will be prohibited
